I want to share my experiences on anything I think might be interesting to others. I also want to have virtual panels where I can share my opinion on a topic and invite others to share theirs too. This way, each post can become a discussion panel with different opinions and experiences from people who know about that topic.
Stop Generating More Documentation. Start Transferring Knowledge.

Writing documentation has never been a popular task among software engineers. In many cases, when you ask someone to write documentation, they just produce something to finish the task. And now, with AI, I think it's getting worse. Before AI, people often didn't write enough documentation. Now, they can generate pages of documentation in minutes. But sometimes, you need to spend a lot of time reading it and still can't understand what actually matters. Generating more documentation doesn't necessarily mean transferring more knowledge. I wrote an article about this problem, why I think it matters, and how we can improve it. I focused on three points: - Longer Isn't Always Better - AI Doesn't Have All Your Context - Know Your Audience: Humans or LLMs? I think we should be more responsible for the documentation we produce, even when AI does most of the writing. Read the article for more information

By using AI to build more applications, I couldn't continue using a separate cheap VPS for each application. So I had to improve my deployment approach to manage more applications easily, develop and deploy them separately, and host all of them on one VPS. Instead of using multiple cheap VPS servers that cost me a lot in total, I now use one more powerful VPS. This way, I don't have to pay more money every time I build a simple application.
